THE
MISSION
Bard Re Entry Junior Scholars is a mentorship program for formerly incarcerated youth ages 18-24. The program serves to help bright individuals to develop skills and confidence to pursue higher education and find success in the professional world. Mentors work to help connect "j-scholars" to resources and communities they need to pursue their next steps and to realize their goals.
Become a "J-Scholar"
As a Junior Scholar, connect with college students at Bard, construct pathways to achieve your academic and professional goals and collaborate on creating new pathways of systematic change within the criminal justice system.
For Bard Students
Bard Re Entry Summer Scholars is an opportunity to gain leadership experience. As a member of the student cohort, you will contribute to criminal legal system reform through peer advocacy and community engagement.
For Partners
Join our network of support to create a space for Junior Scholars to flourish. Help us provide the necessities to the Junior Scholars to allow them to help them on the path into their next phase of life
